Next up for a makeover in our first home is my Craft room/Game room. And while I am still deciding what color to paint the walls, I saw an image of candy in a frame and knew I had to recreate the look to fit my style! So, I decided to cut out some of my favorite motivational quotes on my Cricut, get some delicious candies and put together the frames to make this tempting DIY candy wall.
What you will need:
- Shadow Boxes
- Various Colored Candies (Lemon Heads, Airheads, Sour Skittles, Nerds, Starbursts and mini marshmallows)
- Cricut Machine (if you would like to make your own Decals)
How I made it:
Frames can be so expensive so I waited for a buy one get two free sale at Michaels for this project. I have also found a deal that was even better than the one I got on Amazon where you can get 3 frames for an even lower price here.
Putting positive quotes on my frames was a big factor in creating this wall art. There is so much negativity around us and online that I wanted to create something that filled my space with positive vibes. If you would like access to these quotes, just click the button at the bottom of this post for free access to the Cricut project.
Most of the candy that I used I found on Amazon as well since there is so much bulk candy to choose from. I really wanted a variety of bright colors that would really stand out on any color I decide to paint the wall. Once all the candies arrived, I filled the shadow boxes and got them hung so that they were centered above my computer.
